A filthy rich multi millionaire from Michigan is sitting on $310.5m, but does not know it yet.
The winning ticket for Wednesday night’s draw, purchased at a petrol station in Michigan is the second largest ever this year, but the winner is probably somewhere worrying about bills. The largest ticket won in Michigan is $337m- $27m more than this. Winning the lottery remains a dream to everyone, and the chances of coming up lucky remains so remote that it is unsurprising when a winner does not realize they have won the lottery. Yet, it remains very careless for anybody to play the lottery and not check to see if they have struck the jackpot, however unlikely they expect that scenario to be.
America have some of the largest sums of lottery winnings, with punters sometimes making extraordinary strokes of luck that can last two life times over. Huge sums have sometimes be won in the UK, but those are usually Euro lottery millions. Winnings on the national lottery are usually millions in singular figures, apart from when they roll over into double figures as they sometimes do. America still remain the kings of triple figure winnings, with mind blowing sums of money won overnight on the stroke of luck.
Britain has its share of unclaimed lottery winners too. In August, a lottery prize of £1m remained unclaimed since August but Camelot confirmed it was claimed two days ago, so someone only has a few days to wait before swimming in cash. Camelot have also announced yesterday that a prize of £4m in Barking and Dagenham has also not been claimed
