56-year-old Ian Stewart, was convicted at St.Alnabs Crown Court , after a trial lasting nearly two months. Stewart is said to have killed her in order to get his hands on her near £4m fortune, an allegation he denied. However, prosecutors insisted Stewart was a calculated and deceitful man, who killed her for her fortune.

He had reported Ms Bailey missing on 15 April and faked a heartfelt appeal for his wife-to-be to make contact.

The evil and wicked man lied to police and said Ms Bailey had left a note saying she needed “space” and had gone to her holiday home in Broadstairs, Kent. Missing Diane Stewart was never sighted in Kent by anybody.

Instead, police were met with the grim discovery of her body three months later after pulling it out of a “hard crust” of excrement inside the cesspit underneath the garage of the couple’s £1.2m home. The very sad story reveals a maniac without a conscience who felt his wife’s life was worth a fortune.

In an ironic twist, In 2013 Ms Bailey had told her brother John the cesspit would be a “good place to hide a body” while giving him a tour of the house and grounds.

Police call him “a narcissist” who was “cold” and “calculating”. He had “grossly deceived” 51-year-old Ms Bailey when they met online following the death of her husband in 2011. According to prosecutors, he had played “the long game” in order to inherit Ms Bailey’s fortune. This was the most wicked and version example of human greed in people with no morals. They are walking dangers in our lives, and sometimes we don’t even see that the devil is to fear is right there on the inside.

Incidences like this are reminders to closely examine who you falling in love with, because people can seem to pleasant and good to the eyes at first, but be everyone’s worst nightmare in the end.
