ENGLAND MUST LEARN FROM FRANCE IN EURO 2016

By TIM PARSONS

England have a lot to learn from France in the convincing and domineering way they beat Iceland. The eventual score was 5-2 against a side that beat England 2-1.

Iceland have a population comparable in size to Leicester, and are like a Sunday league team in comparison to England. They don’t have many experienced or well paid stars like England do, and so it is natural that we were expected to beat them.

Instead, France showed us how it is done. The French side gave them no space to breath, and bullied them for all of the first half, battering them 4-0  at the end if the first 45 mins of play. England should learn from France a bit more about, work rate, precision, and team excellence.

France could have been forgiven if they had turned up to the second half with 9 men, presenting the argument that victory was in the bag, therefore 2 men should be rested for the last lap.

And although Iceland did well to pull back 2 goals to save their face a bit, they were well out of their depth against France.

So much more superior were France over Iceland, that the entire England squad should hide their face in shame! And how much do English players earn?Too much!Let’s not mention the figures for the sake of a few tear drops that may come to the eyes.

These overpaid players, who spend a large part of the year cheating on their spouses, getting high on laughing gas(Rather Sterling in this case) and turning up in hotels with prostitutes, need a reality check.

Hardly ever do we hear about French players caught up in despicable acts of perversion or infidelity. Let’s put aside the outdated play of rivalry between the English and the French here, we are talking football now.

England can learn alot from France in many ways, and need to do so. This kind of embarrassment at a major tournament must not repeat itself.

The English team were an embarrassment to the country!Yes, our team is full of talented players, but as a side,  as a team, they are a big time let down!

Their wages should be cut drastically, varying only with good performances.  England must have been the ridicule of the football world. If England can learn from France and deliver next time, then this embarrassement will be a thing of the past.
