By Aaron Miller-
The explosive dossier against President-elect Trump by a British former M16 agent, just seven days to his inauguration as president, has shaken Washington.
The dossier has not provided any conclusive evidence of the allegations connecting Trump to the Kremlin, but it has the potential to rock the boat of the 45th president of the United States
The author of the explosive dossier, Christopher Steel, is reportedly ”reputable, meticulous, consistent, and has extensive contacts in Russia”. That’s not enough to validate the serious claims against the president-elect but it could lead to a plot to stop Trump from becoming President.
An impeachment after Trump becomes president may also be explored, but that will be a long shot for his rivals to achieve over this explosive dossier. Hard facts will be necessary to build any attempt of an impeachment. Even after that, rivals will have the task of sowing seeds of division among Republicans enough to stage any sort of coup.
However, the billionaire is believed to have a strong loyal base of individuals with their own interests who would not want to risk a back clash by opposing Trump. But anything is possible, the American elections have been full of surprises, controversy and scandal.
An impeachment would require a rebellion against Trump from Congress where may of the president-elect’s allies stand behind America’s most controversial president-elect. It would appear that only something out of the ordinary can stop president -elect Trump’s inauguration, but conspiracy theorists say that’s precisely what the explosive revelation intends to achieve.
An anonymous source from Washington told the eye of media.com that the next 7 days is likely to produce ”unthinkable drama”. The source said that if there are ”any legitimate concerns that this president-elect conspired with Russia to use cyber attacks to influence the elections may force the hands of the current president to show his powers”
Explosive DossierLacks Evidence
What powers those powers may be was not stated, but the lack of evidence will always remain an obstacle to any attempt to obstruct the inauguration of a president. President -elect Trump has rubbished the dossier, branding it ”fake news” and ”phoney news”
The 35 page dossier which goes to great detail in presenting strong ties between president-elect Trump and the Kremlin will be causing sleepless nights for a number of political giants in America. The claims are not verified, but serious enough to worry both Trump and the current U.S administration.
Allegations that a relative of President -elect Trump was a member of the Russian intelligence is a worrying thought for many political elites. It may need to be proven or disproven.
The added sordid sexual escapades involving prostitutes worsens the picture. Fear that the president-elect could at some point be the victim of blackmail by Russia is an alarming possibility that frightens many politicians and commentators.
Explosive Dossier Could Lead To Nightmarish Outcome
Any radical steps taken to stop Trump in the final days leading to his inauguration could be nightmarish with unpredictable consequences. America under Donald Trump may be considered to be more nightmarish than any alternative nightmare that results from an emergency move to stop him.
The reality is that Donald Trump is heading for the White House in a weeks time, but a week is a long time in American politics as we know it. Anything can happen. Trump’s relentless war with the media and disregard of the conclusions of the intelligence agencies has intensified their conflict. They will continue to dig deep, but the president-elect may still come up trumps in this heated war.
