Brits Drinking More in Glorious Sunshine

By Charlotte Webster-

Brits are drinking more in the glorious sunshine to celebrate the lovely weather. British weather is known for its inconsistency,  even in the summer.

However, whenever the weather turns up as brilliantly as is today, Brits turn up in numbers in pubs to drink their heads off. The average drinker drinks about five pints an evening, with that number nearly double during the weekend.

When the sun is out however, many Brit drinkers drink close to two dozen pints all day on a weekend, as they engage in boozy social days to celebrate the glorious sunshine.

” Drinking keeps our spirits high in the summer, Steven Philips, told the eye of media.com. We guys like to drink the house down in the sunshine, moods go straight up when the sun shines”, he said.

The problem is that excessive drinking is very bad for the kidneys and for the skin. A couple of glasses of wine is not too bad, though it should be noted that wine has a lot of sugar in it.

Boozing is dangerous when not controlled, and our inhibitions are much weaker when under the influence. Women are more likely to give into sexual advances when heavily under the influence, one of the reasons the quantity of alcohol consumed should be controlled.

More fights also happen when people are under the influence. There are nevertheless a lot of people who drink peacefully despite having too much in their system, the one downfall being their inability to explore other potential ambitions they may have.

For those of us who work in the week, the evenings is the only time we have to chill with our mates, Philips said. On w summer weekend, we just want to be able to relax the whole day”, he said.

Britain is enjoying  glorious sunshine today, and have had a good spell this summer. The inconsistency  of good weather makes Brits relish every moment of good sunshine. However, drinking should still be done I’m moderation.
