Claims that the Brexit outcome will endanger our national security are concerning.
Remain campaigners warned that our national security will be endangered if we left the EU. Fridays vote overwhelmingly gave Brexiters the nod, paving the way for divorce proceedings from our 43 year union with the EU.
The European arrest warrant which allows the rapid extradition of suspects between European Union countries will vanish, following the national Brexit vote.
Our fast track access to Europe’s DNA’ and finger print database will vanish too. If that’s not enough to underline the danger that our Brexit vote will inflict on us, consider the Death of our involvement with Europol.
Europol is the crime fighting agency that compiles intelligence on foreign jihadists, people traffickers, and organised crime.
The disappearance of all these useful alliances currently accessible to Britain, may reflect a vote for problems and disaster.
Other mechanisms for combating terrorism can occurs be pursued, but how effective will they be in comparison?
The one good news for Brexiters is that Britain will no longer be under the umbrella of the European Courts of justice. Foreign criminals will therefore be deported at the command of any British judge.
However, whether the interest of national security is a worthy price to pay for the unhindered freedom of our courts, is a crucial question. However, only time will tell whether the concern of national security can be competently addressed by other measures. The years ahead will tell an interesting story.
