Footage showing a group of teenagers fighting on a double decker boss in Birmingham has been released.
Passengers were in shock when a rowdy group of female teenagers engaged in a massive brawl on the Number 14 service to Alum Rock on Tuesday evening.
The footage shows a number of fights in the carriageway of the top deck between two teenage girls.
The girls are trading blows and pulling each other’s hair.Police were surprisingly not called to the scene t the time of the disorder, probably because of the young age of the children involved, and the fact that the main participants were female.
There were males present, but who did not get involved if the girls physical conflict.
Investigation
National Express West Midlands has now launched an investigation into the violent scenes, which are said to have taken place near Pelham in Hodge Hill. The cause of the fight remains unknown, but the children behaved badly.Their identification may still be useful for the purposes of reporting them to their school, in order for them to be rebuked and reported to their parents.
The immediate problem that surfaces is whether power lies with the parents, the teachers, or the child. It varies in different cases, but this bunch of misbehaving girls need to be told off properly, and both monitored and examined in terms of their family background and academic situation. The cause of the fight must also be established.
