CLIFF RICHARD SEX AB– — USE ALLEGATION WIDENS

BY LUCY CAULKETT

An investigation into claims Cliff Richard sexually abused a boy at an Evangelical Rally in 1985 has ‘increased in size, according to ‘South Yorkshire’ police. The police force has revealed that there is more than one allegation against the singer who was granted bail in August of last year following a controversial decision for the BBC to broadcast the news last summer. No charges, have so far been brought but the British household star who has earned a fortune from his many songs over the decades has strangely never made reference to the allegation in the evangelical rally.

Cliff Richard said he will not comment on the matter until the investigation was done. The new developments in question were revealed in a letter from South Yorkshire police to Home Affairs Committee Chairman, Keith Vaz. The letter stated that South Yorkshire police are in regular contact with Sir Cliff Richards lawyers, and typically this involves a verbal update about once a fortnight.
”police have not disclosed any details to me . I have never in my life assaulted anyone and I am confident the truth will prevail. I have co-operated fully with police and of course will continue to do so”.

South Yorkshire police added that it would be misreading to predict a likely date this would conclude ” in view of the expanding nature of this investigation”. Looks like many worms are about to be let out of the can, what more allegations are being kept under raps now? Sir Cliff Richard rose to prominence in the 50’s and was eventually knighted by her Majesty the Queen in 1995.

In light of the pending investigation into sexual abuse by MP’s in the 1980’s, it is becoming absolutely scary how many mighty men are on their way down, or should we say in battle to to save their reputation. We will watch with baited breath.
