The evil  murderer who also suffers from heart problems, is refusing medical treatment despite suffering from  several pre-existing health conditions including obesity and diabetes which make him susceptible to a serious case of the virus.

One of the worst serial killer’s of this century, Sutcliffe murdered at least 13 women in the 70s and 80s, and had been most recently held in HMP Frankland in County Durham. He spent five nights in hospital with heart problems but was discharged on Tuesday. After returning to the jail’s medical isolation unit he began to develop symptoms including shortness of breath and chest pain.

After testing positive for the virus on Friday, Sutcliffe was kept in isolation at the jail. But guards made the decision to re-admit him to hospital on Sunday when his health began to deteriorate. Peter Sutcliffe is serving 20 life sentences .

Sutcliffe has suffered from angina, diabetes and near-blindness after he was stabbed in the eye by a fellow inmate. He spent 32 years in the high-security psychiatric Broadmoor Hospital after he was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. He was transferred to HMP Frankland in 2016 after psychiatrists said he was stable enough for jail.

Sutcliffe was being monitored in isolation at the jail over the weekend when his health began to deteriorate.

The notorious serial killer was then re-admitted to hospital on Sunday.

It was his second stay at the University Hospital of North Durham in less than a week.

Sutcliffe, who lived in Bradford, West Yorkshire, was convinced he was on a ‘mission from God’ to kill prostitutes.

His victims included two university students, a civil servant, a bank clerk and a supermarket worker.

He was also convicted of seven counts of attempted murder in and around Yorkshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
