Jeremy Corbyn has pledged to “transform” Britain by tackling the corrupt
The Labour party leader promised to go after the corrupt including tax dodgers and dodgy landlords, as he launched Labour’s election campaign.ed to go after bad bosses and big polluters. In a speech referring to a “once-in-a-generation chance to transform our country”, Corbyn said he would preside over the biggest people powered campaign in history. In a powerful speech at Battersea Arts Centre, the outspoken leader said:
“You know what really scares the elite? What they’re actually afraid of is paying their taxes. So in this election they’ll fight harder and dirtier than ever before. They’ll throw everything at us because they know we’re not afraid to take them on.
“So we’re going after the tax dodgers. We’re going after the dodgy landlords. We’re going after the bad bosses. We’re going after the big polluters. Because we know whose side we’re on.”
Mr Corbyn accused Boris Johnson of underestimating Labour supporters and thinking he was smart in calling for an election in December, thinking Corbyn’s supporters “won’t go out to vote”.
“Even if the rivers freeze over, we’re going out to bring about real change for the many, not the few,” he said.
Meanwhile Boris Johnson who visited Addenbooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where he said: “I’m incredibly frustrated that we haven’t been able to get Brexit done today. We had a fantastic deal on the table.”

Setting a bold tone, Corbyn promised to “go after” the Duke of Westminster, the landowner; Mike Ashley, the retail billionaire; Jim Ratcliffe, chair of the Ineos chemicals group; Rupert Murdoch, the media baron; and Crispin Odey, the hedge fund boss.

Corbyn said he would deliver Brexit and “bring the country together”, adding: “If you vote for us, and we get our programme through – which we will, because it’s oven-ready – then we can be out, at the very latest, by January next year.”
Meanwhile, Boris Johnson who visited Cambridge in January promised to “stimulate the wealth-creating sector” .
