Liverpool are about to announce their new appointment of former German manager, Jurden Klopp as their replacement for whop was sacked on Sunday following their laclustre performances in this premiership games. The team have won just 4 out of 11 games, and the dismissal came following Sundfay’s 1-1 draw against Everton that left the reds 10th in the premiere league. It has been decided that it is time for Brendan Rogers to go.
Klopp played his entire senior career for Mainz 5 from 1989-2001, initially as a striker but then became a defender in 1995. He scored 52 league games. Following his retirement he was appointed as a team manager for 7 years. In May, 1998, he signed a 2 year contract to become the new manager of Borrussia Dortmund in order to improve their quality after they disappointingly finished 13th place under their old manager.
Klopp showed his quality by guiding the team to win the T-home supercup in his first season, defeating German champions, Bayern Munich. He then secured a 5th place finish for Dortmind in the following season after that, and then led the club to successive Bundelisga titles in the next two seasons running from 2010-2012.
During the 2011-2012 Bundesliga season, Borussia Dortmund garnered 81 points; this being the greatest points tally ever amassed in Bundesliga history and the 47 points earned in the second half of the season also set a new record. The team did have a few set backs, but managed to beat Manchester City, Real Madrid and Ajax, in the competitions group of death, demonstrating a clear step up in their class. Klopp may just be the man to take the struggling reds to the next level, whilst former manager Brendan Rogers drowns his sorrows and hopes he is not upstaged by this record breaker from Germany.
