The rap star’s, mother, Rosemary Okogwu, was also one of the dignitaries present at the award, who was in good spirits as she chatted freely with other stars at the event. Also in good spirits was former boxer Frank Bruno, well documented for suffering and overcoming depression in recent years. Bruno wore an all bright red suit but looked worryingly gaunt.
Bruno was humorous, cracking jokes as he sipped a glass of beer. ”It’s good to be here with all the beautiful people appreciating a great job of the NHS. I have benefited from their great service myself”, he said, as he laughed in his customary fashion.

Bruno was the poster boy for British boxing in the 80’s, beating former WBA champion Gerrie Coetzee of South Africa, and, in July 1986, before being defeated by Tim Witherspoon in the eleventh round after running out of steam. He eventually lost his big fight to the then sensational Iron Mike Tyson in 1989, but captured the WBC title in 1995 after beating Oliver McCall in 12 rounds. He eventually was stopped in his rematch against Mike Tyson in 1993, getting stopped in three rounds to the former undisputed world champion.
Looking cool, was Tito Jackson, the third brother of the late Michael Jackson. Tito’s celebrity presence added to the spice of the NHS awards event. Tito Jackson was one of the Jackson 5’s and the Jacksons, who rose to fame in the late 1960s and 1970s with the Motown label. He later pursued recordings as a solo artist on the Epic label in the late1 970s and 1980s. Tito is the third child in the Jackson family.
