Women who miss last trains home are increasingly vulnerable to sexual pressure and attacks.
Sexual attacks are not always violent. Intimidation can also be used to subject women to unwanted sex. After hearing three stories of women who have been exploited aftet missing their last trains home, it became immediately obvious that there must be many more with similar experiences.
Those on a weekend out have the duty of organising their transport home. However, many carelessly overspend and find themselves at the mercy of random men , if they don’t have enough to hire a cab home. Craving men are often eager to help , on the temporarily hidden condition they get sex in return.
Rarely will a gentleman offer a woman a comfortable space in his house without imposing himself on her space. Women who find themselves in these kind of situationd often yield to the pressure of sex mainly because they want a roof over their head.

This may sound like consent at first sight, but where the man indicates to the woman that she will be kicked out unless she has sex, the line between consent and compulsion becomes blurred. Last week, a friend of my sister told me how she had been pressured into having sex with a stranger after missing her last train home .
The Last Train
Stuck in Romford after missing the last train, where she hardly knew anyone, she found herself accepting an offer from a random man who had been present at a bar she was in. This man took her home, engaged her in a friendly and sympathetic conversation, before giving her an ultimatum to have sex or find her way home.
Ultimatums like these are boarderline rape, because genuine consent is not present. Many blokes are too thick to realise this, and many women don’t even know it. They feel vulnerable and consider the sex to be their fee for accommodation that night , and would rather be warm than be in the cold.

The moment a woman clearly says she doesn’t want sex and the man proceeds with an ultimatum to obtain the sex, the resulting sex has been somewhat forceful. Women should always plan their journeys
well and hold cash or a bank card to avoid nightmare scenarios like this happening to them.
