A stupid 15-year-old girl has been arrested after footage of a schoolgirl being assaulted and shared on facebook.
The attack took place in Tamworth, on Monday afternoon, and left a 13-year-old girl needing hospital treatment, police said. The footage posted on Facebook showed the victim being punched and kicked whilst other children encouraged her attacker. How a teenager could be so stupid as not to realise she was posting evidence of her attack on facebook is unthinkable.
It must be said that 15-year-old teenagers should be more intelligent than to do something so daft. Sharing such unacceptable level of violence on Facebook is a symbol of alarming foolishness.
Whoever posted this on Facebook might as well have handed the footage to the police herself. Staffordshire Police arrested the teenager on suspicion of assault on Wednesday after viewing the footage, which has since been deleted, online.
The victim is said to have suffered minor injuries and was recovering at home. Staffordshire Police urged people not share the footage on social media
The unnamed school is said to have reprimanded the student. Action has reportedly been taken by the school in disciplining the guilty teenager, as well as those who encouraged her violent actions.
Teenagers in many UK public secondary schools lack common sense. Many are
unambitious, and governed by peer pressure without the qualities of independent reasoning expected of a bright teenager
One would have expected at least one of the teenagers to know that a Facebook post would amount to legal suicide.
JUDGEMENT
Unfortunately, the same lack of judgement that leads to an open beating of a school mate in the presence of several other witnesses, is the same misjudgement at work in posting footage of the assault on Facebook.
UNAMBITIOUS
Students like these are usually unambitious ones from homes with little or no discipline at all. It would be an easy bet that the aggressive girl is a nuisance both at home and school, who is academically weak.
