A 12 year old boy was pulled into an alley way by a weirdo in West Yorkshire, Yorkshire police has announced.
The school boy was approached on Ashbrow Road in Sheeppridge, Huddersfield in Yorkshire when a man dragged him into an alleyway leading to Central Avenue last Sunday.
It is unclear why the man did this, but suspected reasons include an attempted sexual abuse or kidnap by someone who may have had a vendetta against the young boy, or his family. The man let go and took off, following the boy’s loud and incessant screams. It’s a terrifying ordeal for any young boy to experience, and makes one wonder what kind of weirdo’s exist among decent people in society. Only a dangerous individuals with no morals would do something so stupid, though there is always a possibility it was a targeted attack due to some earlier actions of the boy, his acquaintances, or his family members that may have enraged the attacker or those who put him up to this.
When terrible things like this happens in a community, it alarms other members of the community. However, it is worth noting that without any clear facts as to why this happened, it is worth keeping an open mind as to the motives. The act itself is unjustified, whatever the motives, but wider fear resulting from this may be unnecessary if it was target. The precise facts will only be known if and when the man is caught.
The attacker is described as Asian, around 30 years of age, 5ft 6ins tall, with brown hair and a fringe. He was wearing a dark blue coat, black trousers and a scarf which was covering half of his face.
Detective Sergeant Adrian Belle, of Kirklees District CID, said in a press statement: “While we understand that this incident may cause some concern in the wider community, we would stress that this appears to be an isolated incident and the motives behind this man’s actions are unclear.”
