Jeremy Corbyn’s Request For Wage Cap Is Unreasonable

By Eric KIng-

A survey has revealed that Jeremy Corbyn’s request for a cap on wages is supported by a majority of the public.

57% of those surveyed agreed that employers should not earn more than 20 times the average earning of their employee.

The labour leader, known for his unusual policy recommendations estimated the ideal wage cap at just higher
than his own wage of £138,000.

Corbyn’s idea is aimed at targeting what he sees as excessive income earned by a few, but undermines the rights
of hard working achievers to earn far more than just a few hundred of thousands of pounds.

Corbyn recently criticised the amount of money footballers earn, saying ”the salaries some footballers receive is
simply ridiculous”.

”Why should some people be able to earn more than £50m a year”, he asked?

Corbyn’s Issue Is Addressed By National Tax

National tax already addresses the issue raised by Corbyn,
with the rich taxed higher than the less rich.

Individuals who work hard and succeed in earning high wages
should not be grudged for their talents and efforts.

Corbyn’s Proposal Undermines  Hard work

Limiting the amount people can earn is tantamount to restricting their output or giving the fruits of their labour to somebody else. Individuals who work hard should earn the fruits of their labour.

Corbyn has always been a different type of politician, cutting a sincere image, whilst presenting odd policies at
times.

The outspoken opposition leader is also known to oppose the existence of a national army, for the sake of peace.

As peaceful and idyllic this idea of his may have appeared at first sight, such thoughts are only applicable to a utopian society.

It is interesting that Jeremy Corbyn chose the proposed income cap at a level just above his own wage, instead of
making it less or much higher.

It sounds like Corbyn wants to be one of the highest earners in Britain and not have too many people earning higher than himself. The support he has got from the public will encourage him, but this does not mean it will ever happen. Only if he becomes prime minister can this happen.
Corbyn’s recommendation will never take off the ground because it simply holds no weight and will stumble into lots of problems if it was ever taken seriously as a proposal for the future.
