A 19 years-old girl who reported a stalker to police has been found dead at her home, the Sun Newspaper has reported.

Shana Rice a 19 year-old girl reported to police that she was being stalked by a man she met in a pub, but police apparently did nothing because they had no evidence.

The beautiful murdered teenage girl is reported to have met the man at a pub, and he became infatuated and obsessed with her.

girlShe expressed concerns to her friends, one of whom laughed it off as just some admirer.  However, the obsession seems to have turned into a gruesome murder which has shocked her family and friends.

This horrifying news raised the importance for reports of stalking to be taken seriously, especially when a man notified that the attention he is giving a woman is unwanted.

The man was apparently lurking around her home on several occasions, though without any evidence of attack, police felt there was nothing they could do.

One thing police could have done was warn the man to stay well away from her. Tragic stories like this highlight the ever present danger women face by unknown men who may pose a serious threat to their safety.

A man’s interest in a lovely woman they fancy is nothing strange or new. Only when the expression of  that interest becomes overwhelming to a woman who doesn’t share the same interest, does an alarming problem arise.

Any man who cannot take ‘no’ for an answer,  is potentially dangerous.  No woman can afford to wait for something tragic to happen before action is taken.

When a man perseveres in an unwanted  chase,  it is time for him to be told in no uncertain terms that continued behavior of the unwanted type will be met by severe punishment.

There is currently no evidence to suggest that the stalker is the murderer,  but many suspect he is. Police have a man in custody on suspicion of.murder, and the case has also been reported to the independents police complaints commission.
