World Heavy Weight Champion, Tyson Fury, is suing the UK anti doping agency following allegations a banned substance was found in his system in February 2015.
Tests on Tyson fury are said to have returned showing traces of nandroline, a banned substance but one also generated naturally by the body.
Legal proceedings are already in motion following the controversial boxer stremous denial of the claims. Fury’s lawyer, Lewis Poxwell claims the gypsy fighter has been subjected to continuous abuse in twitter over the allegations.
Fury stunned the boxing world last year when he beat former reigning world champion, Wladimir Kitschko by a.convincing landslide decision in Germany.
His cousin, Hughie Fury, has also been accused of the banned substance and has likewise denied the allegation. Huge at 6ft 9inches, Fury possesses one of the longest reach.in the sport and has courted controversy throughout his rise in the ranks.
He was schedulled to fight Klitschko im s rematch last month but claimed to have injurred his returns ankle, causing him to cancel the fight.
A new date for October 29th has been set, though if he is found guilty of the banned substance, he.will be stripped of his title and face a long ban.
The Manchester fighter is Britain’s first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis held the belt last in 2004, but has grown to be the most unpopular heavyweight champion in recent times.
He initially took all three titles off Kitschko, but was stripped of the IBF title when he refused to defend it, and Britain’s more popular heavyweight, Anthony Joshua, was crowned with the title thisbyear when he exposed American pretender, Charles Martin in two comfortable rounds.
If he is found not guilty, he will have the opportunity to defend his titles at another fight, end of October.
