British heavyweight contender, Dillian Whyte, has branded Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury as “jokers” after their friendly meeting in Marbella, claiming the pair stage managed their meeting.
Unified champion Joshua and WBC belt holder Fury paths crossed path while they were both on a trip to Spain and briefly discussed their intentions to meet in an undisputed world heavyweight title fight next summer.
Joshua admitted he knew Fury was in the area because his friends know some of Fury’s friends. What Joshua did not say was whether the pair actually arranged to meet on that occasion or whether he was aware that the current WBC champion was set up to meet him. The pair were also photographed during the encounter, making it appear stage managed.
Joshua recently insisted his meeting was not a planned face-to-face, but did say that he “knew he was coming because I know a few people who know his mates”

Whyte has been granted a WBC mandatory title shot against the the title currently held by Fury in early 2021, and he has mocked the duo’s casual conversation.
Sceptical
Whyte expressed scepticism about the publicised chance meeting. He told Sky Sports: “That looked so staged. Those two just met at the right time and the right place, and they were just having a casual chat?
“The way they speak on social media – they want to do this to each other. It looks like it was just staged.
“If I see someone and they’re talking smack about me and saying they are going to do this and do that, then when I see you, have the same energy.
“I’m not going to be standing outside your car window, standing on the sidewalk speaking to you. Come on man.”

Povetkin flies into Britain on Friday, just over two weeks ahead of his fight with the Russian. Povetkin is most remembered by Britsh fans for losing to Anthony Joshua and later knocking out former touted brit, David Price.
Whyte said: “It’s not ideal when you have to stay in the same place as your opponent, especially if we’ve got to be in there for two weeks or whatever it is,” said Whyte.
It’s not ideal really, because you don’t want to be around somebody you’re going to be fighting, for so long”.
Fury is unbeaten in 31 fights, (21Ko’s)and Joshua has 23 wins(21Ko’s) with the one loss against Andy Ruiz Jnr which he avenged witha points win last December.
