By Gabriel Princewill-
WBC champion, Tyson Fury says Anthony Joshua has expressed supreme confidence in beaten Anthony Joshua, after the latter’s success in defending his heavyweight titles against Bulgaria’s Kubrat Pulev last Saturday.
Joshua, 25-1 (22) defeated Pulev, 39, 29-2(14) in the ninth round at Wembley, after dropping the game challenger twice in the third round before a relatively small crowd of 1,000. However, the dominant performance of Britain’s golden goose was not fearsome enough to concern the gypsy king, who remains undefeated in 31 fights.
Joshua controlled the fight from beginning to end, but adopted a methodical and safety first approach which did little to worry Fury, who emphatically stopped former unbeaten U.S dangerman, Deontey Wilder last February inside 7 rounds.

Tailor Made
Fury a giant 6ft 9 inch awkward and agile fighter emphatically stated that Fury is ‘tailor-made’ for an early knockout defeat and is ‘optimistic’ that a fight can be agreed.
Fury told Good Morning Britain: “I’ve always said for a long time that I do believe that Anthony Joshua is tailor-made for someone like my style. I think it’s going to be one of the most explosive, quickest fights you are going to see. I’m aiming to take him out inside four rounds.”
“We’ll see what’s going to go on,” said Fury. “Let’s hope this fight happens. I’m willing to take the fight. I don’t know whether they are. I’ve been willing to take the fight for the last five years.
“It’s not happened so far, but I’m very optimistic it will happen in 2021.” Joshua and his promoter Eddie Hearn, are eager to stage Britain’s biggest domestic heavyweight fight in decades, with May 2021, the targeted date for the first showdown.
That scheduled plan could easily be thwarted by Ukranian top talent, who is already pushing to enforce his right to a mandatory fight.
Usyk’s co-promoter Alexander Krassyuk, who works alongside Hearn, exclusively told Sky Sports: “My prediction, my plan and our strategy is to make AJ vs Usyk in April or May 2021.
“This is the WBO who has the power to enforce the champion for the mandatory.
Joshua could opt to vacate the WBO belt to fast track a unified clash with Fury, though it would inevitably contradict his claim to always honour his mandatory fights to justify his position.
However, a fight with the former cruiserweight champion carries the potential of defeat, though Joshua will be favourite to successfully defend his crown should that fight materialise before meeting Fury.
