By Eric King-
Wanstead students are staging an anti-Trump demonstration on George Green to protest his inauguration.
Students from the East London college have already began distributing flyers for the event organised by the Socialist Students group.
They are protesting the inauguration of President-elect Trump, despite the fact it will have no consequence on Trump’s rise to power.
18 year old MIchaela Simson told the eye of media.com ” we want the world and especially Dona;d Trump’s administration to know that many are concerned about the way his presidency will affect the world.
We are concerned about his racist and sexist tendencies, and we want some assurance that members of his administration will work hard to prevent racist and sexist connotations being spread by any negative ideologies from him or his team mates. We want his administration to make sure there are checks and balances in place. Ideally, we wish he would just step down and give someone else the post, but I guess that would be fantasising”.
President-elect Trump has been accused of having a racist and sexist world view, a charge President-elect Trump’s team deny.
The organisation has groups in over 40 school, college, and university campuses around the country, all fighting for a socialist Britain.
Young people are set to congregate on George Green “after school” tomorrow (Friday, January 20) before heading to the London-wide protest outside the US embassy in central London at 6pm.
The leaflet reads: “Protest his inaugaration. “No to racism, sexism, and xenophobia
“Take the wealth off the billionaires and fight for a society for the 99 per cent.”
President-elect Trump is due to be sworn in tomorrow as the 45th president of the United States tomorrow. The billionaire business man’s election Triumph and his subsequent comments has sent shivers down the spine of many
politicians, and especially NATO chiefs who have been alarmed by Trump’s view that the historical organisation is obsolete. However, all are stuck with the hard fact that Donald Trump will lead America for the next four years. Many have predicted he will be impeached before he completes his term in office, but all is speculation which is yet to be proven.
