A maniac has been jailed for two and a half years after kidnapping his former partner from the street and then hitting her in the face in front of cops.
Adrian Nedelcu(pictured) subjected his partner to a terrifying ordeal, before assaulting her and threatening to kill her, Bradford Crown Court heard today. He pleaded guilty to kidnap, making a threat to kill, two offences of assault by beating, and harassment with fear of violence
Judge Jonathan Gibson made a five-year restraining order banning him from having any contact with the woman.
Nedelcu, 26, who was on bail at the time, harassed the woman, who has been granted anonymity and threatened her with violence over a 5 month period between February and July this year.
Disturbed Nedulu breached a court order prohibiting him from visiting her home in Bradford and chased her to a shop car park on March 1 but made off when a security guard said he was contacting the police.
The following month she seized her phone in an show of controlling behaviour.
Ther stalker continued to harass his victim even after she moved to a new address in Halifax, turning up to her new address unannounced, and subjecting her to threats.
After coming in uninvited through the rear door, and frightening her, he pursued her into the street and frogmarched her back to her home, before slapping her across the face.
The weirdo even tried to ring her from the police van after he was arrested, in one of the most extreme examples of domestic violence.
Friends of his victim told this publication he was very obsessed with her and jealous, refusing to let her got on with her life.
One friend anonymously said: ”he is the kind of man one fears could eventually kill a woman. His level of obsession was so much, there was no telling what he would do one day. She was so scared, and even worries now if he will come looking for her when he comes out of prison”.
