Ufo enthusiasts are celebrating the annual commemoration of Ufo sightings in the world’s skies. World UFO Day was originally set up to encourage the government to reveal their flies on UFO sightings and related information. It is a day for everyone to pause and ponder the possibility that we are not alone in the Universe.
Established in 2001 and put together to bring enthusiasts of UFO’s, the annual celebration day was set up to commemorates the experience of aviator Kenneth Arnold, who reported first spotting an unidentified flying object sighting in the United States.
UFOs are unidentified flying objects perceived to be sophisticated spaceships of alien visitors to Earth. The term Ufo was first coined by the then U.S Air force officer, Edward J. Ruppelt to reflect the experience of Kenneth Arnold, 1947 . He encountered Ufos whilst flying his aircraft near Washington’s Mount Rainier. the then U.S Air force officer. His claims to have experienced a mysterious debris was dismissed at the time.
Then in Rendlesham Forest, 1980, The US Air Force officials in 1980 stationed in Woodbridge and Bentwaters reported seeing strange colourful lights above the Tendlesham Forest about 160 kilometers away from London. Since then, accounts of Ufos have flooded the U.S and many parts of the world, leading to a conscious acknowledgement of their existence. What they actually are remains debatable, but most analysts see them as demonstrating evidence of alien life out there.
This conclusion has been accompanied with many assumptions, including them being manifestations of historical notions of opposing good and bad entities, angels and demons, a whole different community with different levels of travelling capabilities and purpose. The recent reports given of Ufos by the military to the U.S Senate confirms just how strange and intriguing Ufos are.
