By Aaron Miller-
Donald Trump has again made a reckless statement by calling U.S President, Obama the founder of Isis, whilst labeling Hillary Clinton, the Co founder.
The highly controversial Republican nominee, stated that Isis in many respects honors The U.S president . In his own words, he stated :
“He is the founder of ISIS. He’s the founder of Isis. He founded ISIS. I would say the co-founder is crooked Hilary Clinton “.
Trump bravely claimed Clinton should get an award for her role in helping their rise.
He said ” if they gave a trophy for most valuable player, the winner of the trophy for ISIS would probably be Hilary Clinton“.
The word “probably” weakens his position on this. Certainty is important when making accusations of this sort.
Trump repeated his outrageous claim during an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday morning.
“Last night you said the president was the founder of ISIS. I know what you meant. You meant he created the vacuum, he lost the peace”, Hewitt said.
“No, I meant he’s the founder of ISIS. I do. He was the most valuable player. I give him the most valuable player award. I give it to her too, by the way- Hilary Clinton”.
Hewitt insisted Obama is not sympathetic to the Islamic State, because “he is trying to kill them”. But a defiant Trump said “I don’t care, he was the founded.
Trump’s statement comes following his.most recent statement seemingly suggesting that Clinton be assassinated.
The highly criticized and unpopular Democrat later claimed he was misrepresented by the media, stating his comments were in reference to the political might of gun owners and gun lobby groups.
Trump is treading very dangerous lines making comments so far reaching. Unless he can prove his claim beyond a shadow of doubt, he could be guilty of defamation of character.
His comments exceed the boundaries.
