Tyson Fury wants a street fight with Tony Bellew, instead of the ring contest Bellew wants. Fury vowed never to fight Tony Bellew in a boxing ring, after the latter challenged him to a contest.
Following Fury’s defeat of Sefer Seferi, Tony Bellew who beat Haye twice, has ridiculed Fury for fighting a blown up cruiserweight whilst turning down Bellew’s offer for a fight.
Bellew, also a part time television pundit , said: “People tell me that he said I’m too small, yet he gets in with a guy three inches smaller than me, and about a stone lighter.
“I’m not too sure what he actually means when he says too small. Right now, I’ll be honest, Tyson Fury isn’t really ready for me. I would stop Tyson Fury quicker than I stopped David Haye. There’s no two ways about it.
“Tyson Fury is not ready for me in any way, shape or form. I don’t care what kind of version you give me. I’ve seen the best of him against Steve Cunningham and he was flat on his back. When I put someone on their back, they don’t get away with it. They stay down.
Fury fought back in an interview with boxing online site IFTV. He said:
Why would I fight Tony Bellew? Why would I want to fight Tony Bellew? He has nothing that I want. At all,” Fury said. “But what I am going to do to Tony Bellew is punch him in the mouth when I see him and let’s see if he can be cheeky to me, to me face, because I think Tony Bellew is a s*** house.
SLAP
I want to slap him in the teeth, when he starts crying then I’ll say ‘come on big man, you think you can fight, don’t ya?’ Get it on, ‘and if you’re watching, meet me up anytime, any place, anywhere and me and you will have a straightener. If you’re serious, or if it’s just for a payday I’ll let you off. But if you’re serious about fighting me I’ll fight you out here for free.’ Bum.
Fury is acting unprofessional and knows that boxers d their fighting in the ring. With the war of words going on, Fury really should stage a fight with Bellew for his second come back fight in August. There is no reason he should avoid a fight with a blown up cruiser-weight with little experience at heavyweight.
Boxing fans would rather see Tyson Fury face a blown up cruiser weight with a name than witness another farcical contest on national and international television.Tony Bellew is saying all the right things, whilst Fury is saying all the wrong things.
