British boxing chiefs have agreed to re-instate the boxing license of Tyson Fury once they receive up-to-date medical records.
The British Boxing Board of Control had suspended Fury in 2016 owing to “anti-doping and medical issues”.
After being interviewed by the British Boxing Board Of Control on Friday, they agreed to lift his suspension.
On Friday, the BBBofC said: “Following interview with Tyson Fury at the British Boxing Board of Control offices earlier today, the suspension of his British Boxing Board of Control boxer’s licence will be lifted subject to receipt and clearance of all medical requirements.”
The re-instatement finally allows Tyson Fury to return to the ring and set up a mouth watering showdown with Anthony Joshua this summer if both camps can agree a deal. Joshua faces Joseph Parker in a heavyweight unification clash this April and is hot favourite to emerge the winner.
A clash with Fury after that fight will be a huge box office success, and one British fans are longing to see.
