Two teenage sisters were allegedly raped by two co-workers of their father at a brick kiln in Rajasthan’s Alwar district, according to Indian police.
In story that is every parent’s worst nightmare, both the girls are pregnant, a revelation that has shocked and horrified both her neighbourhood and the country.

The girls’ father on Friday lodged a complaint to police, alleging that his daughters, aged 15 and 13, were raped by the two defendants, Sappi and Subhan.
The victims were allegedly abducted by the two accused on July 27, when she was going to school, and then subsequently raped. The accused also shot a video of the incident and threatened to circulate it on social media if she told anyone about it, using this as a form of blackmail. The victim also alleged that the accused had threatened to kill them if they told anyone about the incident.
The elder sister apparently did not realise she was pregnant until she consulted a doctor after she began experiencing abdominal pain and other health problems.

A doctor eventually informed them she was seven-and-a-half months pregnant, the police said. She had been undergoing what is known as a stealth pregnancy, meaning she was unaware she was pregnant.
Her younger victim is two-and-a-half months pregnant, the police said.
A good question asked by many horrified Indians who have heard the terrible news is why the two girls did not seek a pregnancy test at the earliest opportunity after the rape.

Superintendent of police (Alwar) Anand Sharma said an FIR was registered at NEB police station on Friday and the girls’ medical examination conducted.
The medical test confirmed that both girls are pregnant.
No arrests have been made in this regard yet.
