Identical twin brothers Jedward have thrown their names in the hat to host big brother next year.
The bubbly brothers,(image) who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2011 and 2017, have said they would “definitely” want to host the popular television reality show which sees housemates captured on film living together with no access to the outside world.
John and Edward Grimes are themselves a television hit with a wealth of experience on air. The pair first appeared in the X Factor in 2009, generating a phenomenon of ironic popularity described as “the Jedward paradox. They have released several singles, including “Under Pressure (Ice Ice Baby)”, “Bad Behaviour”. They also appeared on big brother series in 2011 and 2017.

Big Brother, one of the original UK reality TV shows, will return to screens in 2023, years after being axed by both Channel 4 and Channel 5.
The show which has not been on air since 2018 when it was axed by Channel 5 , will be revived by ITV2 and new streaming platform ITVX as from next year.
A “Big Brother for the Love Island generation” will be shown on ITV2 from next year.
Officials said the famous house will return with a “contemporary new look”.
Both Davina MCCall and Ryan Clark are unlikely to be part of the show’s line up, though the two former hosts have shown an interest in participating in one of British television’s most watched reality tv.
The returning programme which lasted nearly two decades will see a cast of “carefully selected housemates from all walks of life” live together under strict surveillance for up to six weeks.
Similar to previous editions, the public will regularly vote contestants off in live evictions, as well as deciding on an overall cash prize winner.
“This refreshed, contemporary new series of Big Brother will contain all the familiar format points that kept viewers engaged and entertained the first time round, but with a brand new look and some additional twists that speak to today’s audience,” said Paul Mortimer, ITV2’s reality TV chief.
“We’re beyond excited to bring this iconic series to ITV2 and ITVX where it should especially engage with our younger viewers.”

The series, which takes its name from the all-seeing ruler in George Orwell’s 1949 novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four, first appeared on Channel 4 in 2000, and was won by Liverpudlian building Craig Phillips.
The programme has been a hit each year it has been beamed on national television , featuring normal people having their every waking (and sleeping) moment caught on camera and broadcast to the world.
However, the National TV Award-winning programme was eventually caught up in controversy over reports of bullying, racism, fixing, and general toxic behaviour in the house, with complaints being made to both the police and Ofcom.
The show moved to Channel 5 in 2011 but was axed in 2018 amid a ratings slump. Channel 5 controller Ben Frow later said he had no regrets over the decision and that the media landscape had become “very crowded with reality shows”.
The housemates in the upcoming series will be everyday people, rather than the usual practise of celebrities. The programme and there be a brand new house in a UK location.
Big Brother began on Channel 4 in 2000 and turned housemates such as Nikki Grahame, “Nasty” Nick Bateman, and Jade Goody into stars.
Identical twin brothers Jedward also want their day in the sun and made their feelings known on social media.
