The Only Way Is Essex star Saffron Lemprieres this week joined, staff from Romford’s Marks and Spencer to celebrate the launch of their xmas hit.
Romford M&S staff have released a Christmas TikTok track they hope will reach number one in the charts.
The store launched its ‘This Is Not Just A Christmas Song’ on Wednesday, and it’s going viral already. It’s an original track written by team support manager Jack Brooker on Wednesday, which is already on youtube.
The dream all started when M&S launched store socials across the country during lockdown last year to reach local audiences and keep them informed.
They started on Facebook, but Sarah Hutcherson, a 26-year-old Team Manager, decided to create the TikTok in January this year “to make more fun videos to share advertising products.
When The Eye Of Media.Com called Marks And Spencer yesterday(Thursday), Sarah Hutcherson was off for the day, butn our source said the Christmas song is raising money for two charities – Shelter and Together for Short Lives – which Jack and Sarah said was “amazing” to do alongside making people smile.
All profits from streaming the song are expected be donated to M&S Food’s nominated charities. The TikTok community will also be able to donate to these charities via a donation sticker in the app.
The dancing shop workers became internet sensations in October with their Thriller video, followed by their Backstreet Boys rendition last month. The support of Lempierres from The Only way is Essex is a boost to the track, and making serious waves on social media.
Jack, who has been making music since he was 13 and has performed at the Spring Break Festival in Amsterdam, came up with the song one random evening, sent it to Sarah, and they sent it on to head office.
The group have now gathered up 1.5 million likes, more than 57,200 followers on TikTok, and have earned praise from the likes of Demi Jones, Clara Amfo, and Michelle Keagan, as well as meme account @loveofhuns.
Other prominent members of the TikTok team include Simon Bell, 54, who has worked at M&S Romford for 38 years; Steven Hester, 57; Romford born and bred Sharon Rougier, 55; Clinton Amponsah, 20; and Joseph Duodu, 23.
The hit Christmas song came about thanks to some comments on one of M&S Romford’s videos.
Jack noticed that the account kept getting comments saying “M&S Romford for Christmas numbe

A christmas track is rarely ever put together by members of a retail store, making this venture very unique in nature. The employees of Marks and Spencer are very close and always had a vision to do something sharp and collelctive, this xmas track emerging out of a well planned idea.

The track , now playing on youtube has the potential to break records, but ius up against other ambitous tracks, including some historical ones.
The endorsement of Lemprieres will no doubt give the song a powerful lift and appeal, as the entir team look forward to the song doing wonders.
The group are a perfect example of a united professional team, insiders who spoke to this publication on the condition of anonymity said there is a strong bonding between the group, adding that it was ”a touch of genius and ambition” that led to the coming together of the group to put this song together.
”The entire Marks and as Spencer team is looking forward to this hit, a member of the group not authorised to speak on behalf of the store, told this poublication.
‘Everyone is buzzing with high expectations, she said, we really would like all the support we can get. It will be a very unusual achievement if this song were to hit no.1. I am not aware that a christmas hit has ever been put together by a group of workers in a store, this is just different, and we expect it to go viral the world over.
