The Big Task Of Rooting Out corruption From the British Police Force

By Lucy Caulkett-

Following another investigation of corrupt and badly behaved  police officers , there is a growing urgency to root out corruption from the police force in the Uk.

Every year for the past few years, the British police force is ravaged with several instances of police misdemeanour, which undermine trust in the integrity of the force.

Revelation on Tuesday that the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has begun a probe into six serving officers and one former officer under the Communications Act for “grossly offensive” messages, after they shared pornographic messages  in a whassap group.

The officers behaving waywardly  and disgracefully without shame.

All the officers have current or former connections to the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) in Oxfordshire, with five remaining at the force, one retired and the other transferred to the South West.

They are also being investigated for potential gross misconduct, though this does not mean they will face criminal charges or misconduct proceedings.

The probe was launched following information provided in a separate police investigation.

The latest incident was not connected to previous WhatsApp groups containing other former or serving officers, including Sarah Everard’s killer, Metropolitan Police officer Wayne Couzens.

The IOPC said it cannot provide further information on the latest investigation, including the name of the other police force to prevent identifying those involved.

IOPC regional director Catherine Bates said: “The allegations against these officers and a former officer are extremely serious and concerning.

The force has continued to produce embarrassingly dishonourable  officers who tarnish the image of the force, and this desperately needs to change,

Multiple incidents of racism and mysogynistic conduct by the force  over the years is quite disturbing.

Considering the lack of discipline and professionalism in the recruitment process of officers, it is of no surprise that the force perpetually produce rotten apples.
