Daniels’ notoriety skyrocketed after she publicly disclosed her purported sexual relationship with Trump, which she claims took place in 2006. This revelation not only brought her international fame but also significantly boosted her career and public profile. Her stock has notably increased, with Daniels somewhat becoming a prominent figure in the U.S media and entertainment industry.

Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen,  admitted he paid Daniels $130,000 to prevent her from going public with her story just weeks before the election. Trump has denied the affair and any wrongdoing.

Daniels is now a key witness in the court proceedings against Trump. Her testimony is crucial in the ongoing investigation into whether the hush money payments violated campaign finance laws. During her testimony, Daniels shared that she has no recollection of how she ended up in Trump’s bed, adding another layer of intrigue to the case.

In court, Daniels recounted the night in question: “I don’t remember how I got on the bed. It was awful. But I didn’t say no.” She expressed regret, saying, “I wish I had said ‘no’. I told very few people that we had actually had sex. I felt ashamed that I didn’t stop it, that I didn’t say no.”

She also testified that Trump made an unsettling comment, comparing her to his daughter. “You remind me of my daughter,” he said. “She is smart, people underestimate her as well.”

During their meeting, Trump allegedly suggested a potential cameo for Daniels on “The Apprentice,” which she said was one reason she maintained contact with him despite the unsettling encounter. Trump had framed this opportunity as a way for her to break into mainstream directing.

The documentary titled “Stormy,” directed by Sarah Gibson, delves into Daniels’ story and poses the question: “What happens when you take on the most powerful man in the world?” Airing on Channel 5, offers a comprehensive look at Daniels’ experiences and the aftermath of her decision to come forward.

In the documentary, Daniels recounts her initial encounter with Trump as pleasant. “Did I get any bad vibes or sexual innuendos? Nothing. He said: ‘You’re actually really smart.’ Somehow the conversation about Celebrity Apprentice came up, and his argument was ‘I will get a lot of attention for putting this blonde adult actress on TV.'”
