Smokers are urged to take the warning advert promoted by PHE England last week very seriously, as we enter 2019. The advert which educates on the serious harm caused by smoking is probably one of the most beneficial adverts in 2018 that should serve as a warning to smokers. The harm done to the body by each cigarette is one many people take lightly, instead of heeding its important message.
Smoking is the cause of millions of deaths arising from lung cancer, and a myriad of several other heart diseases. It is a very dangerous habit picked up by most from their early years of childhood right into adulthood. Many smokers have given up by using the patch, switching to e cigarettes, and some, by sheer will power. It is a serious killer of humanity. Regulations surrounding smoking has undergone a huge transition over the years, with smoking first being banned in all public places to warning adverts placed on cigarette packets depicting the devastating harm it has on the body. Those adverts have become more gruesome over the years.
Anti smoking campaigners should be credited for their great work, often unappreciated, but immensely useful to society. PHE England last week emphasised the misconceptions surrounding e cigarettes, stressing the inaccuracies of these views. As we enter a new year, it is important for smokers to appreciate the dangers of this habit, giving it the serious pf attention it needs. The responsibility is on the smoker to try everything possible to dump this filthy habit capable of killing them through diseases at any given point in time. Many smokers can cite someone they know who smoked eighty a day and lived to a 100 years old. Facts like this are a foolish basis for continuing smoking without concern or worry, when indulging in a habit known to be deadly.
Giving up smoking is not easy for smokers, but a challenge worth rising to. Many smokers have given up in the past, setting the standard for overcoming vices, no matter how difficult. If they can do it, why can’t you? It is well known that how we start the year is how it is likely to continue, so a fresh, bold start is a positive recommendation for the new year. Those who fall at the first hurdle should persevere and refuse to give up trying to beat a habit that threatens their very being every time they engage in this noxious and virulent habit. Millions of smokers give up every year, but there are many more who continue in blissful ignorance of its dangerous effects in the face of undeniable and documented evidence of its harm to humanity.
The best time to try giving up smoking is NOW, not in the future, because the challenge will in most cases be the same. The Eye Of Media.Com will always support the efforts of PHE England in tackling smoking, appreciating their useful work in making Britain a healthier place to live, and appreciating the preciousness of human life.
