Scientists advising the Uk government have yesterday said that the immunity from Covid-19 vaccines is highly likely to wane over time, calling for regular inoculations over the years.
In a document considered by the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE), experts said that more work still needed to be done to determine what would be the “optimal required frequency for re-vaccination” ,to protect the most vulnerable from coronavirus.
The statement could require further stipulations for more vaccinations over the years, if different variants continue to emerge. No upper limit has been made by scientists as to how often regular innoculatons could be required in the future.
The British government has already announced that those who wish to attend nightclubs as from September will need to be double vaccinated. The mandate will also apply to crowded places, including churches, mosques, supermarkets, stadiums, and auditoriums.
Boris Johnson also said last week that university students who want to attend lectures may need to be double vaccinated, leaving those who opt against it to stay in their halls of residence. Such prospect would divide students into two- those who can have more in depth teaching from lecturers, and those who have to have to trust their own abilities to grasp academic material from text books.
The changes and mandates being made by law are the most radical and controversial ever made in peacetime. They are spread across the nations of the world, and have sparked mass protests in many of the world’s main cities.
Today, 50 Mps revolted over plans by the government to create a two tier society, after long term plans of the Uk government were made public by Downing Street.
Critics of the mandatory double vaccinations are very concerned that the mandate of would create a two-tier society which will be discriminatory against those who refuse to take the double vaccination. Over 60 percent of the British public have been double vaccinated.
Medics and scientific advisers say vaccinations are important to reduce the chances of people catching the virus, though there is no hundred percent guarantee of protection from the virus even for those who are double vaccinated. Its importance does not mean it should be heavily imposed under circumstances of an endless changing story to the British public.
Last week, a top scientist was criticized for changing his original statement that those 60% of those in hospital have been double vaccinated. After Boris Johnson announced the requirement for double vaccination for those who intended to attend night clubs, the scientists changed his tune hours later, saying his initial statement was an error.
Analysts believe he made the changes to mask the apparent contradiction in the rule change requiring all those who want to go clubbing to be double vaccinated. The scientist is believed to have been rattled by the fact his earlier statement could be seen to be a put off to those who would consider the high rates of double vaccinated people in hospital to fly in the face of the new impostions for double vaccinations for those who wish to attend night clubs.
The news comes as new figures suggested that Covid-19 infections were still rising in most parts of the UK, though there were signs the rate of increase in England might have slowed.
Around one in 65 people in private households in England had Covid-19 in the week to 24 July, up from one in 75 in the previous week, according to the latest estimates from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The figures are the highest level since the week to 30 January, and is the ninth week in a row that infection levels in England have increased.
The problem with statistics is that many of them are unreliable after evidence of exaggerations were highlighted in 2020. There are also suspicions of a drive for people and organizations to use the vaccine for their own financial gain
