Sam Naz Former Ukip Election Candidate Fined £1,500 For Racial Abuse

By John Talliday-

A former UKIP election candidate has been fined for racially abusing  a Tesco worker in a car park.

Sam Naz, 33, called trolley collector Mohammed Watfa a “f****** foreigner, during a row outside Tesco’s Leytonstone store in March 2015.

The shameful incident took place  two months before Naz,  a resident of Twickenham, lost her bid to unseat Richmond Park and North Kingston MP Zac Goldsmith.

Jurors at her  Snaresbrook Crown Court  trial this week,  heard that Mr Watfa intervened in an argument between Naz and male customer in the car park.

The 48-year-old supermarket worker- a Muslim background,-intervened in the incident after he saw the man raise his fist at the former UKIP candidate.  Disgraced Naz, claimed she was attacked by the shopper, then turned on Mr Watfa, calling him a: “f****** foreigner”.
Naz- a woman of Pakistani descent-  denied the charge of racially aggravated intentional harassment, claiming Mr Watfa had been the aggressor during the incident.  She also denied suggestions she had used any racial slurs towards Mr Watfa.

However, jurors found Naz guilty yesterday ,Thursday, in a unanimous decision.

She was fined £1,500 for the incident and ordered to pay £3,500 in court costs

Considering her Pakistani origin, her racial abuse makes her stupid beyond belief, considering she comes from a race of people who have long been victims of racial discrimination themselves. It will also fuel criticism in certain circles that she has been influenced by members of her party, many of whom are accused of being inherently racist. Many Ukip members and supporters argue that the party is just very nationalistic in the interest of Britain, but not racist- a view contested by many of their critics.

With this conviction, her career prospects have surely been ruined, as nobody would dream of putting her in a respectable post after this.
