The FBI is contemplating launching an investigation into an alleged incident on an aircraft in which Brad Pitt and his children, when he reportedly got into an argument with 15-year-old son Maddox.
Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from the actor on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences, and has asked for physical custody of the couple’s six children.
In a statement, the FBI confirmed it was aware of allegations involving an “aircraft carrying Mr. Brad Pitt and his children”.
“The FBI is continuing to gather facts and will evaluate whether an investigation at the federal level will be pursued,” it added.
The allegation follows a divorce filing from Angelina Jolie on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences between her and her Hollywood husband, in which Joleen has also asked for physical custody of her children.
Popular Hollywood gossip website, TMZ, reported that the allegations emanated from a flight from France to Minnesota on Wednesday of last week, when he is alleged to have got drunk before going “wild,” screaming and “getting physical.”

However, a source close to the family told the Newyork post, “He did yell at one of their children on the plane during an argument, but he didn’t hit the child. Brad is denying claims of inappropriate behaviour.”
The incident had been referred to the FBI, because it happened mid-air, TMZ said.

TMZ also reported that an anonymous third person called child protection services.
The report claimed that Pitt and Jolie had been interviewed by the child protection agency, but child protection services have refused to confirm or deny the claims. The LAPD have denied reports that it had opened an investigation into Pitt, though regular standard patrol into the gated compound where the married couple own a property has continued.
News of the split between the couple adds to a long list of failed Hollywood marriages, confirming that it takes more than money and super stardom to make a marriage work. Rumours that one of the reasons Joleen filed for divorce was because Pitt smokes too much weed remains unconfirmed, though it is unfortunate that their differences were irreconcilable, considering a marriage and kids were at stake.
It doesn’t take much guessing why Bradd Pitt may have yelled at his son. The young lad must have voiced an opponent that took sides with his mother’s decision, making Pitt to blow his top.
