Russia on Tuesday has accused the United States of now being directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine because U.S. spies were approving and coordinating Ukrainian missile strikes on Russian forces.
The claim comes as Russia publicly spelled out its solidarity on Taiwan with China ahead of a planned visit there by U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the possible visit “a provocation” , but clealyl added that Moscow supported Beijing’s One China principle and opposed Taiwanese independence “in any form.” The statement expressing Russia ‘s support for China was meant to openly convey some form of solidarity with China , and irritate the West.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has sparked one of the biggest crisis of recent times , and brought together several nations, including NATO, America, Germany France, the Uk and a few other countries to form a united front against Russian aggression. The joint mission from allied forces has been to ensure defeat of Russia. The war hasn’t always played out in Ukrain’e favour, with Russia sometimes unleashing deadly attacks, many times against civilians, including children.
Russia’s execution of the war has been brutal by any standards, but hasn’t been without its casualties. Russia has suffered almost 800 lost tanks and around 3.500 armoured vehicles, which were either captured or destroyed now visually confirmed through open-source data.
The leading cause of civilian deaths in Ukraine is shelling and air strikes, according to both UN reporting and BBC analysis amounts to in excess of 1,000 civilians killed in attacks at close range.
Russia has been accused of war crimes under the Geneva Convention , with prosecutors already preparing their case on paper. The likelihood of Putin ever standing trial for war crimes is slim, unless he leaves Russia. With tension and attacks mounting in Ukraine, the U.S are now accused of getting too involved. The accusation appears to be a further step in the escalation of tensions, and comes barely a day after warnings that the world is one misunderstanding and one miscalculation from nuclear annihilation.
Formalising Russia’s allegation, Mr Konashenkov said: “It is the Biden administration that is directly responsible for all rocket attacks approved by Kyiv on residential areas and civilian infrastructure facilities in settlements of Donbass and other regions that caused mass deaths of civilians,” Mr Konashenkov said.
Russia was responding to comments by Vadym Skibitsky- Ukraine’s deputy head of military intelligence about the way Kyiv used U.S.-supplied long-range HIMARs rocket launch systems based on what he called excellent satellite imagery and real-time information.
Skibitsky told Britain’s Telegraph newspaper there was consultation between U.S. and Ukrainian intelligence officials leading up to targeted strikes, and that Washington had an effective veto on intended targets.
The claims are contrary to that stated by the White House, whose official line has always been towards was limiting its role in the conflict to arms supplies , to avoid direct confrontation with Moscow.
“All this undeniably proves that Washington, contrary to White House and Pentagon claims, is directly involved in the conflict in Ukraine,” the Russian defence ministry said in a statement.
“It is the Biden administration that is directly responsible for all Kyiv-approved rocket attacks on residential areas and civilian infrastructure in populated areas of Donbas and other regions, which have resulted in mass deaths of civilians,” the defence ministry said.
Adequate supplies of sophisticated long-range weapons systems from Western nations to Ukraine are believed to be crucial to winning the war, a goal the Uk has strongly said it wants to ach

Monday’s sailing was made possible after Turkey and the United Nations brokered a grain and fertiliser export agreement between Russia and Ukraine last month – a rare diplomatic breakthrough in a conflict that has become a drawn-out war of attrition since Russian troops poured over the border on Feb 24.
Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskiy in his nightly address late on Monday called the ship’s departure “the first positive signal,” but warned it was too early to draw conclusions or predict how things would play out.
“We cannot have illusions that Russia will simply refrain from trying to disrupt Ukrainian exports,” said Zelenskiy.
Ozcan Altunbudak, Turkey’s representative at a coordination centre created to oversee the restart of Ukrainian grain exports, said on Tuesday the vessel, the Sierra Leone-flagged ship Razoni, was on track to anchor at Istanbul on Tuesday night.
Ukraine hopes to export 20 million tonnes of grain held in silos and 40 million tonnes from the harvest now under way, initially from Odesa and nearby Pivdennyi and Chornomorsk, to help clear the silos for the new crop.
