Russia has accused America of adding fuel to the fire and increasing the risk of coming into direct confrontation with Russia.
The Kremlin has reacted strongly to the planned delivery of new advanced missile systems and high precision US weapons to Ukraine.

Senior U.S administration officials confirmed that US-made High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, known as HIMARS, will be delivered to Ukraine- a clear dismissal of threats from Russia that increasing supply of weapons to Ukraine is escalating the war, and raising the chances of it culminating in World War III.
The West has taken a strong stance against Russia ever since Putin’s regime invaded Ukraine, with NATO and political representatives of the UK and U.S vowing to ensure that Russia losses the war.
Russia on Wednesday issued a veiled warning that such deliveries of weapons to Ukraine increase the risk of drawing the US into direct conflict with Russia.

Sergei Ryabkov, who is Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, told the RIA Novosti news agency that “any arms supplies that continue, are on the rise, increase the risks of such a development'”
He added that the US is determined to “wage war (on Moscow) to the last Ukrainian in order to inflict, as they say, a strategic defeat on Russia. This is unprecedented, this is dangerous”.
“We believe that the U.S. is deliberately pouring oil on the fire. The U.S. is obviously holding the line that it will fight Russia to the last Ukrainian,” Dmitry said.15,000 Russian troops killed.
An estimated 15,000 Russian troops have been killed and 40,000 others wounded since the war started in Ukraine, western officials have estimated in an update.
Russian troops are retreating and blowing up bridges near Kherson to prevent a possible Ukrainian advance, a regional governor has said.
Vitaliy Kim, governor of the Mykolayiv region, said in messages on Telegram that Russia was on the defensive.
“They are afraid of a counterattack by the Ukrainian army,” he wrote.
The parts of the Mykolayiv region that have been held by Russian forces in recent days are close to the large Russia-held city of Kherson.
,Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on Sunday ordered the Kremlin officials to kick start the nuclear war evacuation drill in an apparent threat to the West, and the Alliance. Putin has put “doomsday” planes including Ilyushin Il-80 Maxdome on standby, a Telegram channel linked with the Russian presidency said in several disturbing claims, adding that the embattled ex-Soviet ruler has moved close allies, family, into an underground city in Siberia, purportedly a nuclear bunker in the Altai Mountains.
