Russell Brand, Britain’s controversial and hilarious comedian, has signed up to Netflix and will be recording two live Re-Birth shows at the Hackney Empire in London this April, theeyeofmedia.com has heard.

The comedian, known for his daring, funny, and controversial jokes, was on a low profile for over a year, following his marriage to Laura Gallacher, and the birth of his daughter Mabel, who is now 14 months old. He has since professed to be a reformed character, mellowed by the parental responsibilities that accompany being a father.
Once married to Kate Perry, Brand and Perry later divorced, citing ”irreconcilable differences. The one big-time player who specialized in bedding women is now settled down to the responsibilities of family life but hasn’t lost some of the madness that made him such a peculiar comedian and human being.
In the show, Brand asks how people make sense of the “madness of our lives” once they become parents. “What am I going to tell my daughter about conformity and responsibility? What happens if she grows up to be like me? Or, worse, to date someone like me?” His rhetorical questions are as crazy as the man who once took swipes at the Monarchy, the tabloids, and made distasteful jokes about drug addicts and IsIs. This is the same man that once suggested that an Isis flag should fly above Buckingham Palace.
Brand raises issues like Tramadol for dogs, BBC presenter Jeremy Paxman, a fresh placenta and the Sistine Chapel.
On a recent tweet, Brand joked: “All the glamour of The Crown (and some of the controversy) with the suspense of Making A Murderer BUT with a happy ending,” he joked about the show on Twitter. “It’s 9 hours long. And the pyrotechnics are dazzling.”
Brand’s recording will be shown at the Hackney Empire on the 18th and 19th of April.
