By Eric King-
Roy Larner, dubbed the ‘Lion of London Bridge’ who was hailed a hero after fighting off knife-wielding jihadis during the terror attack is in jail awaiting trial for intent to supply.
The crook who also escaped lightly for racially aggravated offences for possessing a Class A drug with intent to supply. was charged after being found with the powerful and deadly painkiller fentanyl- the same drug that lead to the death of prince. He was arrested by Kent police and faces trial at the end of October.
Roy Larner, 48, became a hero after being repeatedly stabbed as he fought with Islamic terrorists who killed eight people in London Bridge and Borough Market last June. The Millwall fan was released from hospital 12 days later with 80 stitches to his head, ears, hands and chest . His heroic acts were soon ruined when a video of him being racist and spitting on a black photographer was released. Racist Larner also insulted Muslims and said London Mayor, Sadiq Khan shouldn’t even be in the country.
Larner on that occasion brazenly entered the office of his Labour MP, Neil Coyle, and spoke with a member of staff at the front door. He said, “Sadiq Khan shouldn’t even be in the country,” and called him “a pile of sh-t”.
INSENSITIVE
Larner was totally insensitive and showed no sympathy to and went on to say that, “All Muslims are the same – scum,” he then referred to Muslims as being “pig eating c**ts”. ‘He made a shotgun shooting gesture with a rolled up newspaper towards the ground.’ Defence lawyer, Christopher Surtees-Jones, said Larner accepts ‘the words are disgusting and it is very, very wrong and he feels shame for his behaviour on these two occasions.’
The footage was shared on most of the news channels, but no action was legally taken against him until The Eye Of Media.Com asked police to prosecute him. He was given a light suspended sentence of 26 weeks, one the eye of media thought was too light. An appeal to the Attorney general for a review was eventually granted, but didn’t male much difference.
GUTTED
Roy Larner was gutted when recently other national heroes received awards for their bravery during the London Bridge attacks, whilst he was left out. Three police officers and five members of the public were honoured in the Civilian’s gallantry list. Twenty people in all were approved by the Queen for their outstanding bravery, but Larner was left out.
Having suffered some of the most severe injuries of those caught up in the attack, Larner told the Southwark News in July, ”I think its wrong ”. “I probably came off the worst and probably saved more lives than those people on the list.
“I feel let down by the authorities and I’m officially homeless still. Well, we think you are wrong Larner, and we feel let down by you.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice said: ‘Roy Larner is charged with one count of possessing a controlled Class A drug (fentanyl) with intent to supply.’
