A Wembley landlord has been fined £25,500 for breaching housing regulations, including placing more than 25 tenants in a rundown property in Kilburn.
Willesden Magistrates Court found Mr Ali guilty of housing breaches and a failure to licence on July 22. Ali, of Carlton Avenue East, had been receiving rent from tenants living in the overcrowded, unlicensed HMO.

The Eye Of Media.Com heard that Ali was fined £1 .4m at Norwich Crown Court in 2012 for illegally converting the same house in Willesden into 12 flats, in what was the highest confiscation order granted for a planning offence in the Uk.
This was in addition to a fine of £4,000 and £35,000 legal costs. However, seven years later, this rogue landlord has not learnt much.
The latest breaches came to the attention of Brent Council last year, after the London Fire Brigade was called to stop a leak at the house caused by workers removing the property’s roof while tenants were still living inside. The three storey HMO had been a source of nuisance to neighbours who had complained to the council about overflowing rubbish bins around the house, creating a breeding ground for rodents.
Cllr Eleanor Southwood, housing chiefsaid:
”A landlord who receives money from tenants is responsible for ensuring that his or her property is licensed and meeting the requirements of that licence. The tenants who were living in Mr Ali’s property in Willesden Lane had to suffer unsafe conditions until the council stepped in. Every Brent resident has the right to live in a safe home of a decent standard.”
