Robert Mueller is said to be facing intense pressure to wrap up the investigation into Russia’s collusion in corrupting the U.S 2015 elections.
Mueller is expected to deliver his key findings shortly after the November midterm elections. However, Deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein has intensified the pressure on the special counsel Robert Mueller to speed up the investigations.
Trump’s legal team are extremely anxious for Mueller to issue his final report soon in order to avoid a release too close to the midterm elections. Mueller has provided no indication as to how soon the report will However, his team is said to have told Trump’s lawyers earlier this year that it expected to wrap up a report on the aspect of the investigation involving whether Trump obstructed justice by the end of the summer.
Trump’s team is in the process of providing written answers to the special counsel on questions focusing on potential collusion with Russia. The president has always denied the allegations of collusion with Russia. Mueller has reportedly confirmed plans to ask follow-ups as well, and prosecutors have not ruled out a one-on-one interview with the president has not been ruled out.
