Robbie Williams deserves all the praise in the world after making it to no 1 again, confirming his position as the Uk’s premiere solo artist. His rise means only two of his solo albums have failed to reach number one. His 2003 live album from Knebworth and 2009’s Reality Killed the Video Star both reached number two.
The star also sang on four number one albums as part of Take That, appearing on 17 chart-topping albums as a solo artist or part of a group. The Beatles are the record holders with 15 UK number one albums. With Robbie topping the xmas charts, he must be truly feeling on top of the world.
In a video message, he said: “The album is number one. The Christmas Present. Thank you for everybody who bought it. Thank you for everyone who supported it.
“It’s an incredible achievement. It means more to me than any of the other albums I have ever had. Come on.”
Pointing to a tray of crudites and dips, he added: “I used to celebrate with cocaine and strippers. These days it’s more… In fact, can I have a kebab please? According to the official chart sales, the double Christmas album, which features collaborations with Bryan Adams and Sir Rod Stewart, earned a total of 53,000 chart sales, according to the Official Charts Company.
