Queen Elizabeth’s Other Secret Name Of Lilibet

By Gavin Mackintosh-

Queen Elizabeth has an unknown other name as Lilibet, it has been revealed today.Writers and researchers at the Uk’s Daily Express  discovered the other name her Majesty the Queen is called by some close family members.  The history of the name dates back to Her Royal Highness’s Childhood. When Queen Elizabeth was still a child, she was unable to pronounce her full name and subsequently called herself “Lilibet.”  This was the closest she could get to an accurate pronunciation of Elizabeth.

The name was  eventually adopted by her parents and grandparents.  Since that time, The Queen  has never been addressed by her name, but by her moniker “Lilibet.”

King Goerge VI is said to have claimed that Lilibet is his pride, while Princess Margaret is his joy. The Queen also used this name when she signs off her letter to her grandmother, Queen Mary. A note from the Queen to Prince Margaret is among those still stored by the Royals for record purposes. And through the special contacts of Express researchers, that letter has been published for the public’s consumption. It reads:

“Darling Granny. Thank you very much for the lovely doll’s house. I do love it, and I have unpacked the dining room and the hall. Love from Lilibet xxx,” the monarch rote. Meanwhile, Prince Philip calls Her Majesty “Cabbage.” There are speculations that this comes from the French words “mon petit chou,” which literally translates to “my little cream puff,” meaning “my sweety.” However, its English translation is “my little cabbage.”

On the other hand, Prince William and Prince Harry refer to their grandmother in the customary manner by calling her granny.  The pair were heard calling the monarch this way when they cheered for her during the 2012 Olympic Games opening ceremony, where she made an appearance alongside “James Bond” star Daniel Craig.

The news is interesting, if only the purpose of fully knowing what other names the Queen is known by. Queen Elizabeth, as she is commonly known, is growing in popularity with the British people and has increasing played her role in making the royal family more modern. Queen Elizabeth II is also credited with being the first British monarch to visit Russia, China and Japan.
