Assistant professor Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, and Charles H. Mcilwain University Preceptor in Princeton’s Department of African American Studies, appear to be blaming the DOE probe and with President Donald Trump’s for Saturday’s bomb threat . They said it was “no coincidence.”
“It is no coincidence that Princeton University was singled out for abuse by the Trump Administration earlier morning the campus must be evacuated because of bomb threats made across the campus,” she wrote on Twitter. “It is ritual: Trump gins up the base on racism and harassment ensues.”
The university provided no explanation for the allegation. against Trump.
Princeton University ordered an emergency evacuation on Saturday after a reported bomb threat, according to a release from the school’s communications office.
“This is NOT a test. Follow the instructions in this message for your safety. A bomb threat was received for the Art Museum, Firestone Library, Nassau Hall, and the Chapel,” the release says.
“The Department of Public Safety has issued an evacuation order for these buildings. Please collect your personal items including your car keys. Leave your door unlocked and open to allow the area to be inspected. Calmly leave the building and go to your building’s designated evacuation assembly area.”
The release also asks students to avoid using cell phones on campus unless necessary and to check their email for updates as well as the university website.
