The Duke of Cambridge has spoken about the importance of young people learning about mental health during the first stop on the royal tour of Pakistan.
Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge met pupils at a government-run college in Islamabad on the first full day of their visit.
As he left the school, prince William appeared to be calling for a stable health platform for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. Prince William’s special tributes to his mother is a confirmation of the bond both he and his brother Prince Harry share for their mother. Harry had also paid tribute to their mother when he worked in the Hallo Trust in Angola and championed the eradication of landmines.
Prince William and his wife Kate’s spokesperson has described their royal tour of Pakistan as their “most complex” to date. They will be paying tribute to their mother by connecting with one of Princess Diana’ s friends, Prime Minister Imran Khan.
During a visit to a college, a pupil at the visit told Prince William she and her classmates were “big fans of your mother”.
The duke is said to have replied:”Oh, that’s very sweet of you. I was a big fan of my mother too,” the duke said.
“She came here three times. I was very small. This is my first time and it is very nice to be here and meet you all,” . The duke and duchess were informed about the benefit from the Teach for Pakistan programme – a fast-track teacher training scheme modelled on the UK’s Teach First scheme.
