Prince Harry Declines Invitation To Celebrate King Charles III Birthday

By Sheila Mckenzie-

Prince Harry has been accused of declining an invitation to celebrate his father, King Charles III’s 75th birthday. The King is set to mark the milestone birthday next Tuesday with a celebration at Clarence House in London, and while close family and friends are expected to attend, Prince Harry is notably absent.

This refusal comes in stark contrast to King Charles’s 70th birthday, where Prince Harry and Meghan delayed their honeymoon to attend his garden party celebration. However, recent tensions within the Royal Family, particularly following the announcement of Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare,” have strained their relationship.

It is not the first time that Prince Harry has turned down a family gathering with King Charles. In September, he declined an invitation to join the King in Balmoral on the anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death, even though he was in the UK at the time, attending a charity event.

In fact, it is believed that Prince Harry and King Charles have not spoken to each other in person since last September, during the mourning period and funeral for the late Queen.

These strained family relations coincide with reports that Prince Harry did not receive any birthday messages from his father or brother, Prince William, in September. Additionally, the Royal Family did not publicly acknowledge the birthdays of Prince Harry’s children, as they have for other royals this year, and his HRH title has been removed from the Royal Family’s website.

Sources suggest that King Charles may be disappointed with Prince Harry’s depiction of Queen Camilla in his book, contributing to the growing rift between the two. However, earlier reports this year claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan had no more plans for TV shows or book deals about the family in an attempt to “spare family pain.” Prince Harry has also opened up about his royal upbringing in the Heart of Invictus documentary, expressing feelings of isolation and a lack of support.

As Prince Harry’s relationship with his father remains strained, the absence from his 75th birthday celebration highlights the ongoing challenges faced within the Royal Family.
