By Aaron Miller-
A plot to conduct a coup against President -elect Donald Trump is underway, according to a former M15 intelligent agent.
In a frank and excellently written article on RT, the writer strongly claims that the current U.S administration is finding every reason to prevent Trump’s inauguration, and have 5 weeks to achieve that.
The agent refereed to the U.S election results and the claim to allow a smooth transition of Donald Trump in power as ”a puppet show”, as she strongly set out on a mission to discredit what she described as ”the illusion that people really have a choice of a president every four years”.
”The old British truism that “it does not matter whom you vote for, the government always gets in” can also be applied to the US presidency – usually all candidates are approved and massively funded by the modern incarnation of Eisenhower’s infamous “military-industrial complex” she said, ”and then assiduously supported by cheerleaders in the old corporate media, leaving the electorate with damn little meaningful choice.
She proceeds to talk of an oxymoronic billionaire “man of the people” who crow-barred his way into the contest and slashed all the strings of puppetry and privilege. A man who seeks a rapprochement with Russia and may have just helped the wider world dodge a Nuclear weapon or an era of unending war.
Her point may be true in terms of the possibility Trump’s success avoiding a war, but the sitting American governemnt are very worried about Trump’s behaviour and how he will lead America. The president -elect recently refused to be invlved in the traditional daily briefings to the press, in the way expected of U.S presidents. Trump is doing things very much his own way, and the people he has hired to formulate his team has caused many concern.
According to her, the story of “Russian hacking” was initially trailed merely as media bait to divert the press from the real story – Hillary Clinton’s potentially illegal use of a private web server while acting as Secretary of State.
However, the issue of the illegal private server use by Clinton was dealt with at the elections and concluded with no further action by the FBI. Whether that decision was right or wrong is besides the point here, the point being that the private server issue was buried at the latter stages of the elections.
The Russian hacking allegation is more complex than it appears. She is right that no evidence has been presented to support the hacking claim and that not even all 17 organisations of the FBI agree on the facts of the hacking. The allegation that a coup is underway is also without evidence, and if one took place we will ot be sure what the true reasons wre. It could be for all sorts of reasons. Fear that President-elect Trump may pose a danger to the interest of the United States is the strongest reason that can be said if some evidence is presented to back it up.
However, no evidence will ever been seen by skeptical groups as satisfactory because there will always be an an alternative angle.
The alternative angle will be that Trump won the elections fair and square and should be allowed to rule America, whatever anybody’s opinion on whether he is fit to America’s president. So we have four weeks to find out what will happen. The expected transition may just be as smooth as expected, with President-elect Trump inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States.
Alternatively, the writer may be right that Trump is stopped from becoming president. There is no evidence to suggest that at the moment, its all still a rolling dice.
The electoral College meets to ratify the election of Trump. They may decide to block Trump’s presidency and set the stage for an uknown drama to mark yet the last chapter of one of the most fascinating elections the United States has ever had
