Phil Schofield’s lover will have his chance to express his perspective when he is interviewed by an external barrister looking into the scandal that rocked ITV last month.
No specific date is known to have been set aside for the questioning, but it is expected to occur soon.

The questioning is expected to provide greater insight into the scandal that rocked ITV and provide unanswered questions into what steps the broadcaster took in safeguarding the youngster from the power dynamics issue that sparked uproar and eventually led to Schofield’s departure from the show.
Sources close to the unidentified young lad say he was never questioned about his relationship to Schofield in the way he is said to have been by the broadcaster. They predict that the upcoming inquiry will finally give him a chance to give his side of the story.
One source said: ‘ITV have kept in touch with the man and there will be a very thorough investigation, where many people close to the situation will be asked questions.

‘It will be his chance to have his say. It could most definitely lead to some difficult reading for ITV’s bosses if it turns out that he says he wasn’t asked about the relationship 12 times.’
The process could provide further embarrassment for ITV in the event claims from the broadcaster turn out to be untrue.
The broadcaster has so far provided paid therapy for the young man, whose identity has been protected by the media for the sake of his vulnerability.
Discussions are taking place to plan an overhaul of the once-popular programme after ratings slipped to just over 500,000, it can be revealed.
Executives are considering expanding the presenting team and bringing in fresh faces who they hope will attract new viewers.
