Omid Scobie, the journalist closely associated with the Sussexes, has unleashed “Endgame,” a book that describes Prince William(pictured) as hot headed with his father’s top post ranking highly on his ambitions.
It targets other prominent members of the royal family, including King Charles, Kate Middleton, and Camilla Parker Bowles.
While lacking the explosive impact of Prince Harry’s memoir, “Spare,” initial reviews suggest that “Endgame” offers a one-sided perspective that some describe as “depressingly poisonous.”
Scobie, co-author of “Finding Freedom,” the Sussexes’ account of their departure from royal duties, has positioned himself as a prominent supporter of the couple.
Despite claiming not to have interviewed Harry and Meghan for the book, questions linger about his alleged proximity to the Sussexes and his role as a critic of the royal family.
The timing and potential impact of “Endgame” on already strained relationships within the monarchy are now under scrutiny.

Royal Rifts Laid Bare
The book delves into the royal family’s dynamics, painting a vivid picture of internal strife. Prince William takes center stage, portrayed as “hot-headed” and driven by personal ambitions to upstage his father, Prince Charles.
The alleged tension between the two heirs and their differing visions for the monarchy are unveiled, depicting Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace as “hives of competing agendas.”
William’s decision to distance himself from Lady Susan Hussey, a former lady-in-waiting, following a controversial comment adds fuel to the fire.
The book suggests that William’s environmental initiative, the Earth Shot prize, excluded Charles, leading to disappointment. Charles is said to have found solace in the missteps of the Cambridges’ Caribbean tour but was reportedly angered by royal aides discussing a “blueprint” for William’s reign.
The eviction of Harry and Meghan from Frogmore Cottage is labelled by Scobie as punishment, with Harry questioning Charles about his grandchildren during a phone call.
Scobie claims William believes Harry has been “brainwashed” by therapists, and the book claims William ignored texts from Harry on the day Queen Elizabeth II died.
Meanwhile, Camilla is portrayed as quietly thanking Piers Morgan for defending “the firm” and rolling her eyes at what is described as “lefty nonsense.”
Meghan’s letters to Charles following her interview with Oprah Winfrey reveal alleged discussions about concerns regarding Archie’s skin color.
Kate’s Role and the Queen in Training
In a sharp attack on Kate Middleton, the future queen is depicted as “jokingly shivering” at the mention of Meghan’s name, and accused of being “cold” and ignoring Meghan’s “cries for help,” with Scobie claiming that Kate spent more time talking about Meghan than to her.
The Queen in Training is described as an “inscrutable” figure, and an “institutional dream come true.”
The book will not be welcomed at all by the royal family, who will once again be livid at the multiple attacks directed at its members.
How the general public perceive the contents itself remains to be seen. Many people would view Scobie as acting as the mouth piece of the Sussexes in launching this attack, while many others will see the revelations in the book as merely providing confirmation that the royal family like any other family in the UK, simply have internal struggles too.
The book’s one-sided portrayal may deepen existing rifts within the royal family.
The monarchy faces yet another test of resilience in the wake of its internal feuds laid bare by Omid Scobie’s pen.
