The National Television Awards 2019 will celebrate the very best in TV, drama and entertainment tonight.
The annual ITV event celebrates the best the small screen has had to offer the last year. Britain’s Got Talent will be filming the award at the London Palladium tonight before a vibrant audience. Britain’s Got Talent will be filming at The London Palladium at 2pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday, according to Applause Store, while the NTAs will begin across town at 7.30pm
Awards will be handed out in a number of categories, including best serial drama performance and comedy Dermott O’Leary who has hosted the awards since 2010 will be hosting tonight’s awards. Love Island is up for the Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award ,while Love Island winner and this year’s presenter of the show,Dani Dyer, will be in her element as she desperately hopes for her father, Danny Dyer, to pick up the Serial Drama Performance award for his role as Mick Carter in EastEnders.
Presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly are up for the best presenter gong for the 18th time , after winning it for the last 17 years. The pair will however miss the awards due to a clash with filming on the new series of Britain’s Got Talent.
Good Morning Britain have been nominated alongside Jeremy Kyle, This Morning and Loose Women. Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid were heavily criticised by this publication a few weeks back, after Morgan got his lovely and amiable co-host to agree to host GMB drunk if they get the award on Tuesday night. ITV representatives told The Eye Of Media.Com it must have been a joke, stating there was no way this would happen. Some cynical members of our team actually believed the pair meant it, but today Morgan was unmistakably joking when he said: if we do lose, there’s gonna be an incident live on television of uncontrolled violence.
Television chemistry: Piers Morgan And Susanna Reid
On today’s episode of Good Morning, Susanna begged viewers to get their votes in so she could enjoy a drink to celebrate, Piers added: ‘I will go for vegan for a week if we win which will kill me, so you get rid of me as well.’ Good Morning Britain have a fair chance of success in tonight’s awards, but will have stiff opposition from Jeremy Kyle’s show, whose programme is very well watched. Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid have a brilliant television chemistry, though Morgan, who can be very entertaining but also combative in debate may have put some keen voters off with his tendency to corrupt sweet Reid.
The pair of presenters are there first thing in the morning to lighten up our day, and so there will be a number of fans that will vote for them.
